Difference between Windows and Linux

Major differences between Windows and Linux which must be known.

So hey Friends, I am back after a long time but just got another interesting topic to discuss on. Many viewers of my YouTube channel asked me to do an elaboration on the major differences between Windows and Linux. So here's one for everyone.

So let's start with Windows.

Talking about windows it was created by Bill Gates in early 70s. Its discovery was considered a major breakthrough in the modern computer revolution. Each version of Windows includes a graphical user interface, with a desktop that allows users to view files and folders in windows. For the past two decades, Windows has been the most widely used operating system for personal computers PCs.Currently the most popular version of Windows is the windows 7 which is still a must one for many home and office users.

Linux.

Linux has got many types including Ubuntu Linux, Fedora Linux, Linux mint, Kali Linux and many more. So what is Linux ?? Many of the readers must be thinking of the source which made it. So basically,in 1991, while studying computer science at University of Helsinki,Linus Torvalds began a project that later became the Linux kernel. He wrote the program specifically for the hardware he was using and independent of an operating system because he wanted to use the functions of his new PC with an 80386 processor.

So now let's go for discussing the major differences between Linux and Windows including the pros and cons of each of them

First let's start with Windows.

Well Windows is an closed source OS which is used by many people all across the world. The main point through which the bugs in Windows are detected is through the insider program of Microsoft in which users are given to use a fully free windows OS but on the condition that they will have to inform Microsoft about the bugs and their system may even crash several times. This is not recommended for those users who are on a busy schedule because it may happen that even during your important meetings you may end up with your system crashed. If you have a spare PC then you may join the Microsoft insider program because in that case you can get windows for free without paying a penny for it although it may crash but tell me that is it not better than an pirated torrent file ?

Now let's come to Linux.

Talking about Linux, it is an open source OS which allows its users to modify it according to their needs. Also one of its main advantages over Windows is that it is Free !!!. This is what attracts those people who want an OS for their PC or LAPTOP without having to pay any penny for it. If your are one of those let others know in the comment section which Linux do you use and why you like it !!! Also Linux is a bit more complicated than Windows and requires users to know some of the commands to perform their basic tasks.

Now let's come to the Pros and Cons.

First Let's start with Windows,

1) More User friendly.
2) Get's updates from a trusted source (i.e. Microsoft).
3) Is much easier to use and supports a wide variety of programs and setup files.
4) Is a must go for Gamers.

Now comes Linux,

1) It is an open source OS which allows users to customize it according to their needs.
2) It is free to download.
3) Needs some basic programming to use.
4) Not user friendly.
