How to take Care of an Inkjet Printer

Having an Inkjet Printer ?? Here's how you should take care of it.

Talking about an Inkjet Printer, most of us are having one of them. They might cost somewhat between $40 to an extreme cost. But have you ever imagined how should you take the proper care of your printer so that it gets to last long ? Here, me and my team have given all possible basic steps which you should must follow in order to keep you Printer running in good health.

Following are some Basic steps :-

1) Keep your printer away from direct heat or sunlight in a cool and dry place.

Keeping your Inkjet Printer in a place with direct heat may cause the print head to dry out although there are regular checks and inspections by you. So it is better to be away from a place with more heat.

2) Print at least once a week.

If you are the guy who rarely uses his/her printer then it is a bad idea to keep it sleeping for long time.
It is because that with the passing of time the ink in the ink cartridge starts to dry up if not used by you. So now you might be thinking that what would happen if my Cartridge dries a bit ? Isn't it ?
But you must know that if dry ink flows through the Print Head then it may cause smudges and spots in your official document or a school project !!! Is it for this reason why you brought your printer ???
Obviously not. So go ahead and take at-least one colour printout from your printer each week.

3) Never try to repair or modify your printer yourself unless you are a professional.

This point is to be followed by you obviously that you must not open the screws of your printer just to see what's inside it. Are you mad if you are doing this ? This may cause anything from Fatal Electrical Shocks to causing irreparable damage to your printer. Never ever think of doing this.

4) Changing the ink cartridges .

This is the most important segment in this blog because without ink can any inkjet printer work ? "WHAT AM I ASKING ??". So anyways, be sure to replace the ink cartridges at proper time because printing with empty cartridges may heat up your printer and damage the contacts. Also it may cause degrade in print quality. So you should change or refill your cartridge at proper time before it runs dry.

5) Refilling Ink Cartridges.

This is the thing which all of my friends including me are promoting. Refilling of the OEM manufactured ink cartridges by yourself saves a lot of money and you get printouts at a very low cost.
I will make a separate blog with pictures explaining how to refill those damn cartridges.
